Woman Who Died In Fiery Car Collision ID’d As Newport Coast Resident

Authorities identified the woman who died in a fatal two-car collision over the weekend as a Newport Coast resident. (Shutterstock)NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The Orange County Medical Examiner and Coroner identified the woman who died in a fiery-two car collision Sunday night in Newport Beach as a 60-year-old woman. Donna Wildrick, a Newport Coast resident, was driving near San Joaquin Hills Road and Newport Ridge Drive just after 8 p.m. when it collided with another car. One of the cars became engulfed in flames, but the Newport Beach Police Department did not say if it belonged to Wildrick. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children in the second car involved in the collision suffered “major injuries” and were taken to a hospital. The Daily Pilot reported the cars involved were a BMW and Tesla, but could not say which one Wildrick was driving.
