Fewer travelers ventured through John Wayne Airport in 2019 than 2018, officials say. (Shutterstock Photo)NEWPORT BEACH, CA — Roughly 827,000 passengers boarded and offloaded from planes at John Wayne Airport in November of 2019, the airport said in recent release. That total was down from the 850,000 passengers who flew in November the year before.Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport decreased in November 2019 as compared with November 2018, according to a JWA spokesperson.The top three airlines in November 2019 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (261,072), American Airlines (139,892) and United Airlines (129,677), respectively.

In November 2019, the Airport saw a decrease of 2.7 percent when compared with the November 2018 passenger traffic count of 850,458.
