Newport Seaside’s US Water Polo Gamers Again In Pool: How To Watch


NEWPORT BEACH BEACH, CA —Newport Seaside water polo girls Kaleigh Gilchrist and Maddie Musselman headed again to the pool of their first aggressive recreation in 453 days. The U.S. girls’s water polo group as they face Canada in Commerce to start a three-game sequence.

Monday evening’s roster for the 6 p.m. recreation on the Brenda Villa Aquatic Heart contains eight members from the 2016 Olympic gold medal-winning group:

Laguna Seaside’s Mackenzie Fischer is a defender on the group, whereas her sister Aria Fischer performs heart on the squad. Additionally returning are attackers Rachel Fattal (Seal Seaside), Kaleigh Gilchrist (Newport Seaside), Maddie Musselman (Newport Seaside) and Maggie Steffens; defender Melissa Seidemann (Walnut Creek); and goalkeeper Ashleigh Johnson (Miami).

The U.S. gained gold medals on the 2012 and 2016 Olympics and completed first at every of the final three FINA World Championships held each different 12 months.

The U.S. and Canada have certified for the Tokyo Olympics — the U.S. by being the 2019 FINA World League champion and Canada because the 2019 Pan American Video games silver medalist.
