JetBlue is shopping for Spirit Airways for $3.8 billion, creating the nation’s fifth-largest airline.
The settlement, introduced Thursday, comes a day after Spirit’s try and merge with Frontier Airways fell aside.
JetBlue will purchase Spirit for $33.50 per share in money, together with a prepayment of $2.50 per share in money payable as soon as Spirit stockholders approve the transaction. There’s additionally a ticking payment of 10 cents per 30 days beginning in January 2023 via closing.
