The National Weather Service just issued a Flash Flood Warning for Newport Beach until 1:45 p.m., and residents are strongly encouraged to take precautions until the warning ends.The order was issued at 10:36 a.m. and comes after the National Weather Service predicted an expected rainfall rate of half-an-inch to a full inch of rain in one hour. Areas affected by the Flash Flood Warning include: Irvine, Tustin, Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, San Joaquin Hills, Newport Coast, Laguna Hills and Crystal Cove State Park.
