COSTA MESA, CA —Olympic seashore volleball stars April Ross of Costa Mesa and accomplice Alix Klineman of Manhattan Seashore play for the Olympic gold medal in Thursday, dealing with Mariafe Artacho del Photo voltaic and Taliqua Clancy of Australia.
The match from Shiokaze Park close to Tokyo Bay would start at 7:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time Thursday and might be televised by NBC.
Klineman and Ross have received all six of their matches within the Tokyo Olympics and 12 of their 13 units. They superior to the gold-medal match with a 21-12, 21-11 victory over Anouk Verge-Depre and Joana Heidrich of Switzerland in a semifinal Wednesday.
“It was wonderful,” Klineman stated. “We have been anticipating a battle. (The Swiss are) an excellent bodily and aggressive group, and we knew we needed to be bodily again. We wished to impose our recreation on them, and I believe we did that from the beginning.”
The victory assured Klineman and Ross of at the least a silver medal. Ross received a silver medal on the London Video games in 2012 and a bronze on the 2016 Rio Video games. Klineman is a first-time Olympian.
